Weeds

I missed my train and had to take the last train out of Boston. There were only a few people getting off at Cohasset, and I was the straggler, stopping to take this picture of the platform lights reflecting in the stream that runs along the cutting. I’m glad I didn’t rush away — standing with a suitcase all alone in the parking lot was a woman speaking frantically into her cell phone. “What do you mean there are no taxis?” Clearly, she was a stranger to these parts. I gave her a ride to her destination some miles away. Turns out she was a stranger — a nurse on private duty, on leave from her job in Ireland. What goes around, comes around.
